About Gannon Brothers Construction
The owners and employees of Gannon Brothers Construction LLC have been in the earthwork trades for 40 years. We provide full-service site work in the Albany Capital District region to many of the area’s leading general contractors and developers. Gannon Brothers self-performs the majority of our work, including earthwork, utilities, concrete sidewalks, retaining walls, and paving.
Gannon Brothers also provides turnkey bypass pumping solutions throughout the Atlantic states, from Maine to Virginia, with much of our work concentrated in Philadelphia and Baltimore. We engineer and provide pumps, supply and fuse piping, maintain all equipment, and complete any civil work as needed. We have completed many projects handling flows of up to 30 million gallons per day.
Earthwork Services
At Gannon Brothers Construction, our Earthwork Division delivers comprehensive site development and land-moving services for commercial, municipal, and industrial projects. With hundreds of civil and site development projects completed, we have the experience and expertise to handle projects of any size and complexity.

Bypass Services
The ByPass Division is staffed by a highly skilled team focused on the safe and efficient diversion of moving water. Working closely with other contractors, the team coordinates bypass systems that temporarily reroute municipal services such as storm and sanitary lines. This allows infrastructure repairs and upgrades to take place without interrupting service to the surrounding community. Gannon Brothers Construction Services has successfully completed bypass projects throughout New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Connecticut, Vermont, and Maine.
While we provide a range of construction services, our bypass work is typically delivered as a turnkey bypass system. This includes site evaluation, coordination with project contractors, full mobilization of pipe, fittings, pumps, and equipment, and a bypass plan reviewed and stamped by an engineer. Our experienced crews fuse and install the bypass piping and perform any necessary road or driveway crossings.
Once installed, the system is pressure tested and inspected before going online. During operation, our trained technicians provide 24/7 pump monitoring to ensure continuous performance and reliability. When the project is complete, the bypass system is safely removed and the infrastructure is returned to normal operation. In many cases, our work also includes restoration of areas affected during construction.
